Faintzz... Cos I am on bed rest and Daddy Sky got meeting, we have to leave Lucas at my parents' place and apparently he is enjoying himself...^^

Trial Confinement Food

Mommy Me was having a big headache over to hire a full time confinement lady vs a day time confinement lady vs my own mommy helping me coupled with confinement food catering...

After thinking days and nights and numerous dicussions, we settled for Option 3 with modifications.. (lolx)

My mommy will help me at night and my meals will be taken care by confinement food catering and I will increase the frequency of the PT maid's visits... Perfect... ^^

We were not comfy with the idea of having a stranger staying over with us, much less entrusting my Baby Lewis to her... So the ideas of hiring FT CL & PT CL were scrapped...

So I did some reserach on confinement food catering and read that Natal Essentials (http://www.natalessentials.com/index.html) has one of the better food around and more economical..

Called them to request for a trial meal @ $30...

Ta-Da... Like what most online mommies commented, their serving is indeed huge... After allocating the food, I can eat one meal for 3 meals... In fact, I still have half a pack of the rice in my fridge...

Ok, shall settle for them... ^^ One load off...

Half boiled Eggs

I miss my half boiled eggs.. Sigh, yesterday morning, I could only watch Daddy Sky slurp 2 eggs while I sighed and envied him...

There must be something magical about half boiled eggs that make me feel so xin ku without having them... Even looking at sashimi is bearable...

Another 5 months to go and half boiled eggs, here I come... ^^

Thankful

I am thankful towards my hubby who has taken up all the roles of:

• Gardener - watering the plants daily and plucking out the weeds;
• Dishwasher - washing all the utensils left behind by me after my meals;
  
• Babysitter - looking after and playing with Lucas while I conked out at nights;
• Deliveryman - delivering my special cravings or meals when I needed them;
• Chauffeur - fetching Lucas to and fro the childcare centre and my parents' place.

It has been pretty tiring for him to be doing all these while I am on bedrest and of cos, still have to put up with my mood swings (cos my hormones are in a mess)...

Thank you, Daddy... Even more when you got up early this morning to buy soy milk and glutinous rice rolls for me... ^^

More Trains and More Tracks

Since Daddy Sky bought more tracks for Lucas, they started to construct a mega railway in the living room... Faintzzz....

We did not wait till Boxing Day for Lucas to open his prezzies... He was so excited to open his present from his Ye ye & Nai nai last night...

Bed Rest Continues...

Yes, after resting for close to 1 week, I went back yesterday morning to the gynae for another round of checkup... Baby Lewis is ok and active cos it was near lunch time..

But the bad news is, there is still spotting... So gynae decided that I should rest another week... And can only go back to work in the new year... ;(

Sigh... Missing the best part of the year... cos now is the time of celebrations, parties and makan sessions and I missed every one of them... sulk sulk...

No Mommy Day... :(

Usually, I will bring Lucas to his Shichida classes on Sats. As I was given bed rest, Daddy Sky brought Lucas to class instead last Saturday.

It was the last lesson for the Term.. And halfway through the class, Lucas turned to Daddy and said.. Today is No Mommy Day.. WAH!!! That's sad for me...

Bed Rest

Just after the Monday's gynae checkup, I thought everything was ok and on track.
Yesterday had a big shock cos I was suddenly bleeding as in spotting fresh blood.
I was rushed to A&E and my gynae came down to give me a quick check.
Lucky, can hear baby's heartbeat and that was a major relief for me.
I was given a jab at the back (which was the most painful thing I ever experienced cos the nurse was not familiar with the jab and when I removed the plaster this morning, it was stained with blood.. =.=''')

Anyway, gynae met me again this morning and checked Lewis to make sure everything was ok. She decided I should be given bed rest for the next one week... sigh... I HATE bed rest cos it's super boring and this is the 2nd bed rest I was given during this pregnancy!!!

Lewis: Pls be a good boi and Mommy loves you... We are looking forward to meeting you in 5 months' time...

I can take off my clothes...

Saw a similar photo in Arielle's blog, hmm, is this a phrase that all kids will go through, ie, try to undress themselves??

But I must say this is such a funny sight for me... ^^

Meet up with Baby

This morning Mommy Me has a gynae checkup... Was very excited before going to bed the night before cos we should be able to see the gender today..

But I woke up with a fever... =.=''' Anyway, still went to the gynae to get the checkup done.. Everything was ok and Baby was growing well...

Jus then when we needed to look at the most important part, the legs of the Baby were tightly clasped together.. So Mommy Me kept saying.. Come on, Baby.. Show Mommy if you are a boy or girl...

And surprisingly, Baby released the gripe and we will be looking forward to meeting Baby Lewis in 5 months' time... ^^

Meet & Greet Sesame Street Characters

Elmo & Cookie Monster have been one of Lucas' Favs..Of course, when I asked him if he wants to watch them, immediately, he went YES!!!

Ok, so we went to catch the last show yesterday @ PS.. It was such a mad rush cos we need to first spend $30 to get the photo pass. Mommy Me alreasy planned to get diapers...

So the moment we reached PS, I rushed to grab 3 packs of diapers.. Got to the cashier, got the receipt and shoo-ed Daddy & Lucas to queue for the redemption of the photo pass while I lugged the 3 packs to the car...^^

Heng, we got the pass and next Mommy Me queued for a table outside Xin Wang... lolx...
Lucky we managed to get a table in less than 5 mins.. Soon we ate our dinner and again rushed down to watch the show... ^^
As usual, Lucas was mutter under his breath when the characters popped out to the stage but wont be exceptionally excited even though he sees them.. What a calm n compose boi.. The children around us were all screaming!!!

Then when the show is over, we queued up to wait for our turn to take photos with the characters.

p/s: Side-track - After the show, we brought him to the loo loo to change his diaper. After he was done and Daddy Sky went to the loo, he saw a hammering machine so I stood with him while telling him that the coins were with Daddy.. Suddenly, he sped off to a shop... Ya, he spotted a Thomas shop and sped off.. Then he stood in front of all the toys and went WAH!!! After he grabbed a Toby, he zipped out of the shop and back to the machine.. And we haven PAID!!! Alamak, I had to run after him twice in my condition...=.='''

Dinner @ Chez Char

Daddy just came back this afternoon from Cambodia after attending a business associate's wedding...

So instead of cooking, Mommy Me suggested going to Great World City to eat dinner. Was deliberating between Crystal Jade & Chez Char..

Diaoz, when we reached Crystal Jade, it was packed and I overheard the waitress telling the first person in the line.. Need to wait for half an hour at least... ok, off to Chez Char we go...

No Q, price about the same.. Food-wise oso not bad..

Our dinner-- Lucas wants Rice, Mommy wants Congee and Daddy wants Mee.. Lolx...
Lucas is getting proficient in feeding himself.. Way to go, son!!!

Meet & Greet Barney & Frens

We meant to go to the Barney & Frens show at 1pm...
But Lucas suddenly said he wanted to go to Ah Gong & Ah Ma's house around 11++ am...
Faintz....He got up and went to pack the stuff to bring to his grandparents' place...

Ok, plan aborted... Since we needed to be home for the PT maid to be over to clean the house...
So we waited for the cleaning to be completed and wanted to try our luck to see if we can catch the 7pm show...
But we could not make it in time for the redemption which was fine... So we walked around while waiting for the show to begin...
Lucas spotted rows and rows of capsules machines and got excited when he saw Thomas...
But we had no coins and finally when we found some.. diaoz, the machine was spoilt... =.='''

After watching for a while, Lucas got bored and came down.. Now he asked me to bring him to Elmo's show... =.='''

Meet & Greet Bob The Builder

After reading a list of Meet & Greet Sessions to Lucas, he asked me for Bob the Builder.. Har...
The only one that is not in the list... but on the papers.. So Mommy Me searched the internet for more details...

It is at West Coast Plaza and only for weekends * 4pm & 8pm show.
Need to spend $80 to redeem the photo opportunity... *Ouch*...

Mommy Me was already prepared to be there not to get the photo opportunity cos I dunno the place well to spend $80 lei...
Anyway, after the dinner, we took photos with Muck & Roley and the standees first to make Lucas feel better... ^^
At first Daddy Sky was carrying Lucas but he decided to wriggle down so that he can stand in front of Roley...Of cos, he then walked to join other kids @ Muck...
Since we did not spend $80, we cannot redeem the photo opportunity, we took with Bob's standee..
Not forgetting Wendy's standee...
Somemore he sat down in front of the standee...
At 8pm, I told Daddy Sky to bring Lucas to the main area while Mommy Me grabbed some groceries from Cold Storage...

They were looking outside the area and Mommy Me was looking around to see if I can redeem the vouchers cos I saw less than 20 who are going to take photos with Bob...

Just then we met Uncle Eric and his family, they were kind to pass me the receipt but the good news is that the organisers decided to let 10 families in at the time.. WOOTS!!!!


Lucas was veli happy, he kept telling us on the way home... He met Bob... ^^

After Lucas went to bed, Daddy quickly kept the box of toys..

This morning, when Lucas woke up, he went to the study to ransack the boxes...

Under his breath, he mumbled:

• Percy & Thomas, where?
• From Auntie Cynthia
• Missing

Wah, he actually remembered that the toys are from Auntie Cynthia and of cos, remembered that he was playing them the night before... =.='''

With an attitude

Auntie Cyn gave Lucas a box of Thomas and Frens' toys for his 2nd birthday.. As it needed assembling and space to lay the tracks, we kept them for once in the blue moon playing..

Yesterday, Lucas ransacked the cupboard and saw the box... Insisted Mommy and Daddy to take it out for him to play...

Meet & Greet Thomas the Train

Auntie Ching informed Mommy Me that there is a Meet & Greet Session for Thomas the Train @ Milenia Walk...
The actual session starts at 1 pm.. But Mommy Me was not certain of what's or how's going to be.. So we went slightly earlier.. Gosh, when we reached around 12 noon, there were about 15 families waiting around for the session to begin...

There was a little booth selling Thomas' toys and that got Lucas excited... He started to run around the toys and looking at every single box... Then he tried to bring 1 box to Daddy Sky to test the water and see if Daddy will buy for him...

After a while, Daddy Sky finally bought him a box with the latest character - Hiro... =.='''

About 30 mins before the show began, they started to give out the photo opportunity ticket... Lucky Mommy Me was standing the right queue and we got a ticket... The next 20 minutes was headache cos we need to make Lucas settle down as he was getting restless from sitting on the floor..
Finally, when the show started, wow, the children were so loud... Lucas was a bit stunned and din react much to the songs... =.=''' Tok bout needing time to warm up...

Anyway, he was excited to get on stage to get a photo with his fav Thomas... ^^

Fever, then Sore Throat...

Lucas started falling sick since Monday evening..
First onset of the fever, then came the sore throat yesterday...

Went to Doctor Koh on Tuesday evening and yesterday one more time...
To relieve his breathing, he is put on the nebuliser machine for 3 days...

Of cos, Lucas resisted to put on the mask at first but he realised all fail, he just guai guai hold the mask to his own nose and mouth...

First Performance

I must say Mommy Me was beaming with pride when I saw my boi performing on stage..
It was the childcare centre's annual graduation ceremony..

When the children were performing on stage, Mommy Me was telling myself how talented every single one of them are.
It was realli not easy for all these children (between 2 - 6 yrs old) to dance and sing and recite for their parents and grand-parents, who I am sure, are beaming with pride looking at their children/grand-children performing...

Of course, the credit goes to all the teachers for putting in the time and efforts in making this happen...




He is so adorable... ^^

The last item for the graduation ceremony was the Grand Finale where all the children will gather on stage to take photos and wave to their parents & grandparents...

Lucas was checking out the situation behind the curtains...
He was sitting down and then he started to get up to walk around...
Then when he spotted Mommy Me, (who have been hiding away from him the whole evening) he started to walk towards me... His teacher actually came out to stop him cos haven taken group photo...
But he struggled to break free and continued to come towards me...
Ya, so in the end, I had to carry him away.. In fact, the whole evening, I was trying to hide from him cos I know he will not cooperate when he sees me..

But towards the end, I could not resist taking his photos just off the stage so I moved a bit too close and so close for him to spot me.. =.='''

See there was no photos taken during the time @ DBS...

When we reached home, he said he wanted to press the honk... ^^



We ended up taking photos at home cos Lucas was clinging to Mommy Me at DBS..
