I can bring down the house...

Yes, Lewis... He has the power to bring the whole house down through his cries of demand!!!

When he is hungry, there's no stopping of him. Even though Mommy Me pretends to ignore and tries to stall some time so that the feeding interval can be less frequent n each feeding session is longer.. Obviously, he dun buy that.. He demands his hourly feed through this manner:
For a preterm baby, his cries is so loud that it can fill up the room n deafening to the ears.. when he was born, his cries filled the operating theater and the PD said - - Good lung power for a preterm.. =.='''

When he is satsifed, he is such a darling.. Allowing everyone to mess with his dressing too...

Balancing Act

Mommy Me and Lewis were finally discharged on Sat. But as Lewis came too sudden, we had not sort of gotten ready for his arrival. Mommy Me and Daddy Sky spent a couple of hours getting the entire house in order - taking out the new towels and hankies and placing all the bathe items and baby powder in position.

Then Daddy went to fetch Lucas home.. He was excited to see di-di but we could sense he was a bit grouchy. However we dismissed it as him being too tired...

On Sunday morning, the 'nightmare' sort of started.. Lucas was in this 'amok' mode where he started to find trouble with Daddy Sky and Mommy Me..

Things like why his diapers were not in my room, why he has to use a bigger pillow, why he has to share the hankies with his di-di..

Though he was still veli sweet to his di-di, he literally drove Daddy and Mommy nuts with his chanting and notty behaviour by refusing to nap and insisting on playing...

Guess, this is something we really have to manage.. Afterall, he had our 100% attention for 2.5 years and now he has to share it with Lewis. Takes time for him to settle down bah.. ^^

But I am sure we will get this sorted out... ;p

Fast n Furious

Just when Mommy Me thought that I will be delivering on 5 May, Lewis caught me by total surprise on 19 April 2011.

I started having contractions in class at 2.30++ pm.. Ignoring it cos I had too many false alarms..
When I boarded Daddy Sky's van at 545 pm, I told him that I was having contractions n started to time myself..

OMG, it was already 2-3 minutes apart.. But I have yet to collect the Stemcord kit. Luckily I have arranged for the saleperson to drop by at 630 pm to pass me the kit and complete the paperwork..

At close to 7pm, I called up the gynae and was advised to go direct to the hospital. I was strapped to the CTG machine and it only detected mild contractions...Chey, false alarm again..

Just when I was thinking that and shooed Daddy Sky off to get his dinner, the contractions come harder and this time, the previous c-sect wound started to hurt...

The gynae came by and checked me.. No dilation still but contractions visible and wound hurting.. I had to make a decision immediately.. If the wound continued to hurt and it may affect Lewis at the later stage...

As Lewis was only 35 weeks, we risk him having wet lungs and jaundice as well if he was delivered.. No choice, given the risk of higher implications if my previous c sect wound were to affect him, we proceeded with the c sect..

Presenting Bb Lewis....
Lucky, no wet lungs... But have jaundice which Mommy Me has to diligently sun him and of cos, he is on the lighter side.. Will try my best to fatten him...

Fruit Enzyme

After being placed on bedrest over the weekend, Mommy Me was back at the gynae to do a checkup. Was feeling much better after the bedrest and we proceeded to book the c-sect op on 5 May 2011.

We stopped at PS Cafe @ Paragon to take lunch before hitting home...
This is a disappointment cos the kitchen apparently forgot my cranberry sauce... =.='''
A mackarel with rice which I cannot enjoy... Fish smells to me.. yucks...

Speaking of fruit enzyme, I am recently into making them...

Drinkable Fruit Enzyme will help:

  • Maintain a high alkaline blood ph.
  • Improve immune system.
  • Improve digestive system and relieve constipation.
  • An antioxidant that protects body cells from oxidation by neutralizing free radicals.
  • Lower cholesterol level.

Just made a fresh tub of grapes and apples enzyme... Cant wait to harvest them... ^^

I cannot wait already...

This is told by Daddy Sky...
Since Mommy Me is under 'house arrest', Daddy Sky and Lucas went gai gai on their own... =.='''

They stopped by at Tiong Bahru Plaza's 4 Leaves Bakery and bought some bread.
After selecting his bread and making payment for it, Lucas turned to Daddy Sky and said: I want it NOW.. I cannot wait already..

Mystery...

Just when Mommy Me thought that I am better after the food poisoning episode..
I was awaken by a pain in the lower tummy at 3.30 am this morning... and plus Lewis' non-stop movement around the tummy, I thought I was going to pop...

The pain went on and to makes it worse, the c-sect wound hurt too..=.='''
Total no idea where the pain came from and what caused it... And Lewis' movement din help much..

I could not tell if it was contraction pain or just plain pain or menses-kinda pain... In short, I just felt pain...

Not taking any chances, I called the gynae's clinic to walk in direct.. Strangely, no contractions.. Lewis is at a whopping 2.5kg already at 35 weeks..

No idea what caused the pain but to be on the cautious end, in case the c sect wound has ruptured.. Gynae put me on bed rest.. (yes. again...=.=''')

But for the weekend only and I will be back to see her again on Monday...

Gosh, how I wish Lewis can be out soon... and spare me the torture... ;(

Food Poisoning...

Not Lucas but Mommy Me... Sigh...
This round of pregnancy is packed with action...
Till now, I have no clear idea what exactly caused the food poisoning..
I was throwing up non stop from 9 pm last night...

At 1.30am, I surrendered and got Daddy Sky to ferry Ah Gong and Ah Ma over to jaga the sleeping Lucas while Daddy drove me to KKH emergency...Cos we were not sure if Lewis was affected so thought given Lewis is about 35 weeks, we better go KKH (jus in case he has to be delivered pre-term...)

Stayed there for close to 1.5 hr monitoring his heartbeat and the contractions... Lucky he is fine and the doctor on duty cleared me with a bill of food poisoning..

The next 24 hours I spent on the bed and only getting off to eat or to pee...

After this post, I guess I will hit the bed again...

p/s: Lucas has to stay over at my parents' place and he is such a darling when I called to tell him he had to stay over.. He even said: Mommy, u get well soon...

My First Encounter with Gastroenteritis

Yes, first encounter for Mommy Me...

At first when Ah Ma called telling me Lucas puked after a bus ride to Bugis, I dismissed it as over-reaction... Within an hour, they called again to say he foamed in the mouth... That sounded scary. They rushed direct down to KKH from Bugis while Mommy Me drove down direct.

But when I reached, Lucas looked perfectly fine to me and was running around the waiting area.. Made me start to wonder if it was over-reaction on our parts since other kiddos in the waiting area seemed more serious than him.

Out of a sudden, Lucas started to foam in the mouth again!!! That shocked me... I scooped him and ran to a nurse. Luckily the nurse was very kind to give Lucas a bed to rest in the Observation Room and ran some basic checks on him.

Though it was the 7th time he had puked, he was still not dehydrated. We waited until it was his turn for the doctor to check. Doctor gave him some anti-vomit medication and glucose water for the next hour - 30 mls per 15 mins interval.

We had to stay there for observation until we were certain he did not puke or foam again. In the meantime, Lucas was getting famished. He kept begging us for bread or milk...

So heartpain, Ah Gong walked to buy some bread to stand by to feed him after the ordeal. But the doctor gave the instructions - - No food for the next 8 hours... WAH!!!

That's so challenging.. In the end, we gave him glucose water and milk until night-time before coaxing him to bed.. In-between, he asked for rice, bread and any food but we pretended not to hear him... Poor thing...

Wah, Mommy Me was impressed with his language and of cos, went to Vivo to lug this home for him...

He was so happy to have a new set of tools for his Play-Doh...
