Fishes everywhere

There are so many fish shops all over and putting on display their best fishes.. Check them out...
But the joke is we SHOULD have started with looking at the competition fishes instead of the display by the shops cos those going for the competition were so much nicer..

However, by the time, we reached those rows n rows of fish tanks, Lucas was hungry and tired... AND insisting that we go for dinner instead.. =.='''

I only managed to catch a glimpse of the winning freshwater tanks, seawater tanks and some jing long yu... so sad...

What a Memorable Birthday...

It was Mommy Me's birthday yesterday.. Birthday wishes poured in all over since the strike of midnight ^^ Daddy Sky had made plans to go to Wheelock Place Sun with Moon for dinner which I was looking forward to.

In the morning, Daddy Sky showed me his big toe and asked if it looked like it was swelling.. Yes, it did and I told him to go see a doctor.. But as it was Saturday and he felt he probably needed X-ray, he planned to go to the polyclinic on Monday.. Then he started to complain that it was painful to walk. I decided to rush him to SGH A&E and by then, the swell was getting more obvious and he had a bit of trouble walking..

Took the X-ray and saw the doctor who diagnosed that it could possibly be GOUT.. I was like HUH.. Gout at this age?? How is it possible? Anyway, they took his blood sample and told us to hang around for another 2 hours to wait for the lab results..

After a faithful and boring wait (lucky I had my Ipad to keep me accompany.. Yawnzz), the doctor said the results looked pretty ok but then again they do not rule out the possibility of GOUT as it might not be picked up by the test at this early stage... =.='''

Daddy Sky needed to go see the doctor speciliasing in osteoporosis... Chim.. ok, fixed his appointment in early July.. We then rushed to pick up the boys and Daddy Sky insisted on going out for dinner while Mommy Me felt we should stay at home.. Upon his insistence, we proceeded with the plan.

When we reached the restaurant, it was very packed and we had to wait another 45 mins to get a table which was perfectly fine with Lucas who went to Borders to flip books.. ^^

It so happened that Ye-ye and Nai-nai was there with their friends having dinner as well.. After dinner, we got home and by then both boys are very tired. So we just sang the happy birthday song and blew the candle and packed them to bed... =.='''

What a way to celebrate my birthday.. Sure memorable and eventful... lolx..

p/s: not forgetting the lovely lillies from the bois in my home... ;-p

Watching TV

I placed Lewis down on the sofa and realised his eyes were fixated towards the television.. Thought it must be a mistake on my part cos how can a 1-month old baby know how to watch the television??!!!
Check out the direction of his eyes..
And when I called him, true enough Lewis' eyes shifted and looked at me!!!
He is really watching the television!!! Alamak, I cannot turn on the television now or I have to turn him to face me.. Dun want to expose him to the television way too early...

Loving Brothers

So loving.. Lucas wanted to carry Lewis in the rocker.. ^^
He even knows how to stroke his brother's head gently..
And he looks veli happy while doing it and Lewis just sleeps on...
It is such a blessing to see them behaving this way... And Mommy Me hopes that this will continue even after they grow up.. ^^

Funny Lucas

When Ah Yee MMS-ed me this photo, it took me a while to figure out what is going on...

Lucas wanted to be rolled around in the basket so he climbed in and was pushed round the living room in Ah Ma's house... lolx
When Daddy Sky fetched him in the evening, he insisted on bringing the Jega blocks home and he was not too bad with it.. Managed to pull out about 5 blocks without toppling the tower.. ;p

Lewis is 1 month old!!!

Yes, finally one month has flew past and Lewis is now 1 month old.. We had a small celebration for him yesterday...
He was such a darling and slept throughout without creating any din.. In fact, I suspected that he knew that it was his party yesterday and so excited that he kept waking up every single hour... =.='''
Check out the food that we have ordered.. While the food did not fail us, we were somewhat disappointed with their portions. As we have ordered a few times from NeoGarden, the portion of food is always pretty decent. But not sure why for yesterday, the food did not seem enough to feed the guests.. Hmm, was it the hot weather??

I ordered these pretty little cupcakes.. Actually meant as a trial for Lucas' birthday.. Turned out not too bad.. Shall get these for his birthday party in school...
Oh ya, thanks to everyone for the lovely gifts and ang pows.... Special mention to this diaper cake which was hand made by my colleagues... So lovely lor...

My New Benbat

When Mommy Me drove Lewis home from Ah Ma's house for the couple of days, I noticed his poor head was being swayed left and right... Lucas Gege has a Benbat but it is way too big for Lewis Didi.. I hunted online for the smaller version and decided to get him this Benbat to sort of stabilise his head during the car ride.. ^^
He can sleep on it too at home..
At least now his head does not move too much and if Mommy Me is alone with him, at least I can drive with more ease...

Give me ice-cream or....

Since Mommy Me cannot go out still, Daddy brought Lucas to Vivo as usual to walk walk..

Lucas asked Daddy for ice-cream... Daddy pretended not to hear him so guess what did Lucas do to make Daddy listen? He threw his Iphone 4 on the floor and now Daddy heard him.

Win liao, like that also can.. Hmm, he just wants to get his way!!!

This irritating behavior of Daddy at the Dining Table is getting on my nerves.. He will be eating and den out of the blue, straighten his back and look around for Lucas & Lewis... even though I am looking after both of them!!! ARGH..

What a DAY!!!

Yes, Lewis' full month party is next Tuesday.. Being 2nd time mommy, this time round, I know what I need to do to settle all the prep work.

Called Mom's kitchen last week and placed my order for the food. Why Mom's kitchen? - - Cos Alicia used it for Bb Caden's full month and I quite like the food. Therefore, I decided to order from them. Somemore the set comes with the traditional red eggs, ang ku kueh and glutinous rice which I thought was pretty cool...

Anyway, I managed to settled the order on Wednesday.. And thought I could relax..

I went to colour my hair yesterday and while my hair stylist was colouring my hair, my phone rang... It's from Mom's kitchen and the horror is they just had their license suspended due to food poisoning and I will NOT have any caterer next Tuesday...

This realli threw me off my feet and I had to scamper to hunt for another caterer... In the end, I ordered from Orange Clove which was part of the Neogroup.

Morale of the story: Dun order from some caterers that you have not tried before for important occasions like this... Sigh...

Durian Lover

Lucas loves DURAINS... He will always make up excuses to make his Ah Gong walk the road that will pass by the durain seller..

When I question him, he will tell me he din wan to buy.. It's either the Durain Uncle beckons to him or ah gong is the culprit... =.='''

So during my confinement, I asked Daddy Sky to bring some durain back for me.. And I wonder who is happier seeing the durain, me or Lucas??

Amazing Speed

Lewis is reaching his full month soon.. I was looking through his photos for the past 3 weeks... He has grown so much at an amazing speed and looks like the feeding does pay off despite the sleepless nights...^^

Water Play

Lucas has water play every Monday morning. His teacher requested us to dress him in his swim suit before sending him to school. Check him out with his good pal, Gabriel...
And of cos, the rough play when all the children get together. Sometimes, I wonder how the teachers in the centre can manage with so many kiddos running around. I seem to always see them dealing with crying kiddos with ease..

I guess that's why parents have to pay some premium to get the teachers to do the 'dirty' job bah.. ;-p

Mother's Day 2011

For this year's Mother's Day, as Mommy me was still in confinement, I am not able to go out to celebrate.

My parent-in-laws brought Lucas out for dinner so that I can rest and that was very thoughtful of them. They had dinner with his cousins and heard from Daddy that he ate a lot of food and rice during dinner.

He even watched videos from Youtube on Yu Heng Ge ge's iPad...
When he got home, he even told me that he had enjoyed the evening with his cousins which I am very glad to hear... ;-p

Proudest Moment

As a Mommy, the proudest moment is when your son comes home at night and presents you with a gift and tells you HE LOVES YOU....

How not to feel proud when you see this? Though you know the art-craft is done with some assistance, it is still a gift from your son dearest... ^^
