Nemesis

Extracted from Wiki:

In modern English, "nemesis" has become a term for an enemy or archenemy, especially one that is similar to oneself but opposite in some critical way.

Daddy Sky and Mommy Me have a nemesis in common:

Can't make this out?? I am not surprised cos we have never come across this insect till we shifted to our place..

For the past couple of years, we have been 'busy' fighting off this insect who keeps coming back to visit twice a year. This is the nest of the insect.. Looks dam disgusting..

Inside this little nest housed around 1,000 of the eggs and once they matured, they will come out of this nest and occupied the ceiling of my house, yes, it's that irritating...

We have been year after year vacuuming them off the ceiling and knocking them off the windows and plants whenever we spotted them.

Where did this coming from? Right in the middle of my balcony ceiling, apparently, they had grown so bold and instead of hiding the nest, they build it right in the middle of the balcony ceiling..

Unfortunately, my alert system is on and spotted it right in the morning!!! (despite the sleepless nights due to my sick babies)

Ooo, I HATE them and will continue to eliminate them whenever and where ever I spot them!

Down with Flu

It all began with Lucas. He first caught the flu bug from the childcare centre..
Actually, Mommy Me already spotted the 'danger'. The other day when we were at the centre, there was a little boy who was down with flu following Lucas around in the morning.
I dragged Lucas away but that little boy kept coming near and Lucas told me he dunno who the boy was...=.='''
So he had the first onset of the flu bug on Saturday. As we had some medications at home, we did not bring him to the PD over the weekend..And we merrily forgot to separate him and Lewis...
There we had it. Lewis was down on Monday and Mommy Me brought him to Dr Chan on Tuesday morning while Lucas saw Dr Koh on Monday evening.

Lewis had to get his phlegm sucked out and it was so thick that the nurse had a bit of difficulty getting the tubes down his nostrils. Needless to say, he was crying buckets and buckets while it was being done. After the suction, he had to be neb... Luckily that was effortless.

But the nights were a nightmare.. As Lewis had some difficulty breathing, he wanted to be carried the whole night and the results were Panda Daddy, Panda Mommy and Panda Ah Ma...
Lucas, on the other hand, was easier to manage since he could blow his nose.
The process of bringing Lewis to the PD to get the suction down went on for a couple of days and this morning, PD said no need to do suction and only need to do the neb...

Combined damage from both boys: $250++ and needless to say, loss of precious sleep..

I hope the boys can recover by this weekend as Mommy Me will be returning to work next Monday.

Side-track:

Lucas proves to be such a sensible boy at his young age.

On Wednesday morning, he woke up asking Mommy Me to bring him out for breakfast. (Note: It had already become a routine that he wants me to bring him out for breakfast.) I told him ok and was running through the number of things I needed to get done. Told him that after sending him to skool, I need to rush to pick Lewis didi to Dr Chan to get the painful suction done, etc etc...

After hearing me, suddenly he said: Mommy, bring me to skool. No breakfast ok. I eat in skool..

Aww, it was so sweet to hear that from him. He understood that I am tired from all the running all over and wanted to eat breakfast at skool though I know he dun quite like the breakfast spread at skool. He went to skool, walked to the breakfast station, took a quick look and told Mommy Me to get him a piece of bread.

He then walked to his classroom, unpacked his stuff and sat on a chair waiting for me to bring the bread to him. It was such a heart melting moment for Mommy Me to have a sensible boy (aside his terrorising moments..)

Lucas, well done.. Keep it up, son.

Lewis is 7 weeks old

Being a Mother again makes me relive the memories when Lucas was a baby... Though Lewis came so suddenly which sort of upset my plans, I am thankful that he arrived healthy.

Moving into 7 weeks, Lewis looks like he has some 'volume' and a bit more chubby.. At least that means the sleepless nights to express the breast milk and getting up to feed him is finally paying off...
When he smiles, it literally melts my heart...
This is taken this morning before he showers and hits the mall... ^^
What a darling he is!!!

Challenging Task

Leaving a house has never been so challenging until recently.

From getting Lucas to Lewis to myself ready takes me almost 2 hours, plus the packing of the bags and ensuring all the little details (such as number of diapers, extra set of changing clothes, milk powder, biscuits, hankies etc) are all covered... =.='''

It's practically an uphill task to get out of the door just to go out for a dinner...Anyway, we went to this place called Peppery Western Cuisine @ Bukit Merah Swimming complex for dinner..

Nice Western Food at foodcourt prices as claimed by the owner. They were previously at the AMK Industrial Park and had recently ventured out to get a bigger space. When we arrived at the place, it was segregated into 2 areas - air con & non air con.

We sat at the non air con area since it was pretty cool at night. According to the owner, they are packed at lunch time but dinner is pretty slow for them. And their opening hours are till 1130 pm.. Oh god, it will be VELI BORING at night since there are so few customers.

Anyway, here are our food...Wild Mushroom Soup packed with omphs..
Cocktail hotdogs with fries
Premium Sirloin Steak with pepper sauce (Pepper sauce is not so nice but the steak is soft n juicy, the sides are chunky and good bite feel)
Pork ribs (paiseh, dunno how come cannot rotate again.. The pork is succulent... )

Lucky Lewis was veli cooperative and slept throughout the meal but Lucas was in his terrible two stage.. And after getting his hotdog 'fix', he wanted to move round the place... =.='''

Anyway, I figured no point losing my temper... He has to learn to operate within acceptable limits.

Back to the eating place, my only gripe was that there was no proper parking at this restaurant. If we want to eat at this place, we have to park across the road... But overall, the food was indeed not bad..

Misty Island Rescue

This is one of the latest movies on Thomas.. Well not exactly the latest, this movie was released late last year but only 'came' to Singapore this year...
Lucas is into this show recently and we can watch it day after day the same movie... =.='''

Anyway, Daddy Sky discovered a Gacha machine @ Vivo's ToysRUs with the toys from the show.. They gacha-ed 2 the other day and got Dash and a tunnel.. When we went back last Sunday, the machine was empty and we could see a disappointed look on Lucas' face..

This morning, he asked Mommy Me how come there are no more toys in the machine.. Wah, it was still on his mind... Since Mommy Me was running some errands at Vivo, I popped over to check the machines and luckily it was filled. There were still a few couples in there...

Here is where my monies have gone to:

In a bid to find as many characters as possible for Lucas...
And of cos, some kids were staring at me gacha-ing the machine too... =.='''

Kungfu Panda 2

We had promised Lucas that we will bring him to watch Kungfu Panda 2 on Sunday morning before attending Baby Casey's Full Month party. He was telling everyone in the family excitedly on the whole Saturday that he was going to watch Kungfu Panda 2 on Sunday.

When we woke up on Sunday morning, we had a shock cos it was pouring and the roads outside were flooded. We could not get delivery in nor get out to get breakfast. Mommy Me had to scamper to make breakfast with whatever food ingredients we had while Daddy Sky was thinking of a backup plan for the movie.

In the end, when the rain subsided, it was near the party time and we could only drop off Lewis at the grandparents' place before bringing Lucas to Vivo for a quick lunch and ice-cream...

After the lunch, we went to the party and when it was time to go, Lucas wanted a balloon off the decors.. =.='''

He fell asleep in the car holding the balloon..

Feeling bad, Mommy Me made some arrangements on Monday to fetch Lucas earlier to watch the show (against Daddy's protest cos he wanted to watch too... Too bad, you got to work..)
As Lucas had to skip his tea at the centre, Mommy Me brought him to tea and he chose to eat donuts.. See how he enjoyed his tea.. He was very excited at the cinema and was very happy too..
Mommy Me even prepared cookies from Famous Amos for him...
Anyway, abit on the show which I realli enjoyed and of cos, Lucas seemed to understand it and was luffing at some junctures on his own... Glad to see that he is growing up and able to enjoy movies..

Extracted from Wikipedia:
Long ago, Lord Shen, heir of the peacock clan that ruled Gongmen City in China, sought to harness the power of fireworks as a weapon with which to rule the entire country. When he learned from the court's goat soothsayer that "a warrior of black and white" would one day defeat him, Shen assumed she was referring to the giant pandas and had them exterminated to avert the prophecy. Shen's parents were horrified at this atrocity and exiled Shen, who swore revenge.

Many years later, Po is living his dream as the Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace, but is told by Master Shifu that their masters have gone missing and fears Lord Shen is responsible. While fighting off a pack of wolf bandits who have been stealing refined metal for Lord Shen, Po is distracted by a symbol on the head wolf's armor, which causes Po to have a flashback of his past and allowed the wolves to escape.

Po asks his father, Mr. Ping, where he came from, but all Ping can tell him is that he found Po as an infant in a radish crate and adopted him.

Afterward, Shifu receives word that Master Thundering Rhino, leader of the kung fu council protecting Gongmen City, has been killed by Lord Shen with his newly developed weapon, which threatens to destroy kung fu tradition.

Po and the Five then went on an expedition to defeat Lord Shen and wanted to restore the peace to China. In the process, Po remembers that his parents had endangered themselves to save him from Shen's forces, his mother hiding him in a crate before she was subdued. Attaining inner peace, Po returns to Gongmen City to save the captive Five from being executed by Shen at the city harbor, as well as to prevent Shen's army to enter the open waters to begin his conquest of China.

Quote from the show: Facing up to the darkest past will bring one inner peace.

Swatow Restaurant @ Toa Payoh

Lucas stayed over at Ah Gong n Ah Ma house on Friday's evening...

Actually in the morning, he said he wanted to come home and reminded me to fetch him. But as I had some errands to run, I told him that Ah Gong will fetch him and to call me if he wants to come home.

I called him in the evening and he ran to the phone -- "Mommy, I not going home. I stay ah ma's house eat durians.."

Faintz.. He actually can choose to forsake me for durians... =.='''

Anyway, he spent the whole Sat at his grandparents' place since Mommy Me still having difficulties coping with 2.. Any help is welcome...

Feeling guilty, we brought everyone out for dinner in the evening.. ;-p
Heard some positive comments on this restaurant from friends and decided to check it out..

We ordered a set menu with goose meat, fish, prawns and added an oyster omelet.. Food was not bad. Portion was reasonable and so was the price..

p/s:I was so busy feeding Lucas and myself.. Therefore the task of taking photos of the food has landed with Ah Yee..
When we left the house, Mommy Me forgot to bring some toys or the iPad to entertain Lucas.. =.='' Somehow Ah gong managed to find some fake Thomas trains to entertain Lucas instead... lolx.. He was proud of his fake Thomas trains..kids...

Just when the rest of us were busy eating, check out what Lewis was doing...

Photos and storyline by Daddy Sky:
"What are you guys eating? Where is my share??"

"Will I get a share if I pose a cutie look?"

"I am not getting anything??"

"This is sad but lucky I still have my mittens..Yum yum.."
