Yes, fish roe... As the teochew porrisge stall at Hong Lim only carries it on every Monday, you will catch us having our warm porridge there. Cos it's a must to go every Monday and Lucas will order this for SURE... Guaranteed, plus chop... ;p

p/s: Eating this dish brings back fond memories.. cos my grandma used to cook this for me.. I am probably the only one at home who appreciates this dish... ;(

 Simple Celebration for Father's Day... Time flies when you have children.. And it's so tiring to manage everything with 2 of them but when you look at both of them, you will realise it's all worth it.. ;p

 We had dinner at Crystal Jade Jiang Nan @ Vivo... Check out the food.. Very nice dinner for us..

 

After dinner, Daddy Sky wanted to go Best Denki.. Asked him why.. He said he wanted to check out the water oven that Mommy Me had been eyeing... Guess what, he declared that it's a Father's Day gift for himself and he lugged it home... =.='''

Dunno if it was Father's Day or Mother's Day lor...

p/s: Of course, I am delighted cos I am the one 'eyeing' this... hahahaha

Breakfast @ Tiong Bahru Bakery

Daddy Sky read about this new place @ Tiong Bahru and he knew we had to go... Was keeping our fingers crossed that Lucas could recover from his fever soon so we could go check out this new place.

Luckily his fever was kept in check the whole Saturday and so we decided to bring him out for breakfast..

Super crowded place in the morning.. Many tables but it was packed!!!

Many families were in there and we were really excited as we saw many kinds of bread... Lucas was super excited. He ordered a brioche  for himself and Daddy Sky was on a bread spree.. He ordered 4 kinds of bread.. OMG...

Lucky the latte was superb and yup, the coffee was from Forty Hands.. It was a joint venture apparently according to a waiter...

Nice breakfast but wondered when the craze could die down so that I could enjoy the bread properly without being squashed by the crowds.

Red Angry Bird

Daddy Sky actually planned to celebrate Mommy Me's birthday over the weekends over a couple of dinner since we cannot celebrate on our own. But since Lucas was running a high fever the night before, we decided to stay at home and Mommy Me shall cook my own favourite food.

Lucas was knocked out after his Shichida class and when he woke up, he wanted an angry bird sandwich... This was what I managed to whip out:

This was what he managed to mould... A red angry bird... Not too bad.. His motoring skills not bad sia...

Afternote: Refusing to give up, Mommy Me made another Angry Bird for Lucas dinner on Sunday's evening... Lolx....

With the help of ham, now it looks more like one...

Dim Sum @ Yum Cha

We were trying to explore the different dim sum around Chinatown area hoping to give the place some chance despite the mushroom of Chinese Restaurants... After having 3 weeks of dim sum at De Bao, we decided to try out Yum Cha..

Not too bad.. service was good and the bois enjoyed themselves..

 

For dinner, this is what we had:

Love my Thermos Pot and HCP pan... Cooking is such a breeze and most importantly, everyone enjoyed my cooking...

We go swimming again...

The weather is killing us... Since we pay monthly maintenance fees, we better make good use of the facilities... We decided to go swimming... The boys were realli excited.. As though the pool was a giant bath-tub...

However, cannot realli swim too long, scare they catch a chill... =.='''

Sorry, Mommy

It's getting more interesting as Lucas grows up... He did not behave properly in his Shichida Class.. I was so mad that I told him I was angry with him... In fact, he almost made his Teacher Bel upset that he was on the blink of not getting a sticker for the day.

Anyway, I was grumbling to Lucas that I was angry with him.. Almost immediately, he started asking me the following:

Lucas: Mommy, you like fish?

Mommy Me: I supposed so...

Lucas: Mommy, your favorite colour is purple?

Mommy Me: Ya

Lucas: Light or dark purple??

Mommy Me: I supposed I prefer a bright purple...

The moment he got home, he took a piece of paper and drew this.

He said it was his sorry card for me...
Aww... how to be mad with him for long.... ;p

Still, I cook dinner for him... though I tot I told him I won't do it... lolx...

Just a simple fried udon and Bb Lewis was beside me going mom mom mom non stop... waiting for his share of udon... ^^

More Art to entertain Lucas

Mommy Me still had one box of Ikea Meatballs left in the freezer and was cracking my head on what to do with them... Viola... With tube pasta and tomato paste... And of cos, this went down well with Lucas..

After dinner, Mommy Me took out a new art for him to work on... A sticker art which tested his identification of colours and numbers.. He took a good 45 mins working on it... And here is the finished piece...

Home Alone with Lucas

As there was a start of HFMD in Lucas' school, Mommy Me took a day off after the Public Hol to stay home with him, especially when he had an onset of coughing spate... Made a breakfast bento for him...

In order not to let him idle the whole day away, Mommy Me got him this art piece to work on... Batik painting... Ta-da... Done in jiffy (of cos, with Mommy Me puking blood away too trying to get him to colour in the correct space3...)

Here you have it, a proud fellow with his fnished product...

Rowing in the boat

The boys love to play in this tub that they used for bathing.. Lucas calls it their boat...
And so, they went rowing in their 'boat'...

Row, row, row your boat... gently down the stream.. merrily, merrily, merrily...

Lucas' 2nd Dental Visit

We try to make Lucas visit the dentist on a regular basis so that he does not grow up feeling scared about visiting one... Getting ready for the cleaning..Listening attentively to what the dentist wants to share.. I love their cute shades for children.. makes things bright and cheery... ^^

First trip to the swimming pool

It is the Good Friday long weekend... We had planned to bring the boys for a quick dip in the pool..

Reason: Cos the silly n forgetful mommy forgot to pack Lucas' swimwear into his bag for a good 2 weeks... and he could not go for waterplay at school.. and ended up playing at the playground while his friends all got to dip in the water... Knowing he is pretty upset about it, Daddy Sky promised him to go for a swim on Good Friday..
We decided to let Bb Lewis have a taste of swimming as well...
Could fit into Lucas' old swimwear... To the pool we go, but unfortunately, the sky turned dark suddenly and we probably only dipped in the waters for 15 mins.. Well, better than nothing... ^^

Qing Ming, but what is BB Lewis doing at home??

Bb Lewis is too young to go for the qing ming prayers.. So Mommy ME and him are both excused...

Home Alone with 2 boys!!! - - AGAIN... =.='''

Shag sia to be home alone with 2 boys.. It is the Shichida's term break so Mommy Me is home alone half day with the boys.. Had parked the bois over at the grandparent's place in the morning so that I could cook the diner..

All my time whizzed past when I am home alone with the 2 of them...
But it is still enjoyable in a sense as I got to spend time with them... ^^
