Trial Confinement Food

Mommy Me was having a big headache over to hire a full time confinement lady vs a day time confinement lady vs my own mommy helping me coupled with confinement food catering...

After thinking days and nights and numerous dicussions, we settled for Option 3 with modifications.. (lolx)

My mommy will help me at night and my meals will be taken care by confinement food catering and I will increase the frequency of the PT maid's visits... Perfect... ^^

We were not comfy with the idea of having a stranger staying over with us, much less entrusting my Baby Lewis to her... So the ideas of hiring FT CL & PT CL were scrapped...

So I did some reserach on confinement food catering and read that Natal Essentials (http://www.natalessentials.com/index.html) has one of the better food around and more economical..

Called them to request for a trial meal @ $30...

Ta-Da... Like what most online mommies commented, their serving is indeed huge... After allocating the food, I can eat one meal for 3 meals... In fact, I still have half a pack of the rice in my fridge...

Ok, shall settle for them... ^^ One load off...

Half boiled Eggs

I miss my half boiled eggs.. Sigh, yesterday morning, I could only watch Daddy Sky slurp 2 eggs while I sighed and envied him...

There must be something magical about half boiled eggs that make me feel so xin ku without having them... Even looking at sashimi is bearable...

Another 5 months to go and half boiled eggs, here I come... ^^

Bed Rest Continues...

Yes, after resting for close to 1 week, I went back yesterday morning to the gynae for another round of checkup... Baby Lewis is ok and active cos it was near lunch time..

But the bad news is, there is still spotting... So gynae decided that I should rest another week... And can only go back to work in the new year... ;(

Sigh... Missing the best part of the year... cos now is the time of celebrations, parties and makan sessions and I missed every one of them... sulk sulk...

Bed Rest

Just after the Monday's gynae checkup, I thought everything was ok and on track.
Yesterday had a big shock cos I was suddenly bleeding as in spotting fresh blood.
I was rushed to A&E and my gynae came down to give me a quick check.
Lucky, can hear baby's heartbeat and that was a major relief for me.
I was given a jab at the back (which was the most painful thing I ever experienced cos the nurse was not familiar with the jab and when I removed the plaster this morning, it was stained with blood.. =.=''')

Anyway, gynae met me again this morning and checked Lewis to make sure everything was ok. She decided I should be given bed rest for the next one week... sigh... I HATE bed rest cos it's super boring and this is the 2nd bed rest I was given during this pregnancy!!!

Lewis: Pls be a good boi and Mommy loves you... We are looking forward to meeting you in 5 months' time...

Meet up with Baby

This morning Mommy Me has a gynae checkup... Was very excited before going to bed the night before cos we should be able to see the gender today..

But I woke up with a fever... =.=''' Anyway, still went to the gynae to get the checkup done.. Everything was ok and Baby was growing well...

Jus then when we needed to look at the most important part, the legs of the Baby were tightly clasped together.. So Mommy Me kept saying.. Come on, Baby.. Show Mommy if you are a boy or girl...

And surprisingly, Baby released the gripe and we will be looking forward to meeting Baby Lewis in 5 months' time... ^^

Missing Appetite

This is how Mommy Me has been feeling for the past 8 weeks.. No appetite for food...

The new addition to the family is causing me to have sleepless nights and loss of appetite...

It's a miracle that I can still put on 500g today when I went back for my checkup... =.='''

I saw Baby waving!!!

Hmm, it all started cos I got some spotting on Sunday...
No idea why or how it happened...
Called the emergency number and spoke to my gynae who asked me to go down immediately this morning...
The clinic was pretty packed and I waited almost an hour to see her...
Gone through the usual checks but could not spot anything funny...
Gynae explained that this is usually common in 1st tri and probably due to the placenta trying to glue itself to the uterus.. Sounded chim to me...

Hahaha, but the cute part is that we could see baby again and baby is now doubled the size from the last checkup....
When the scan was being done, baby was waving to us..
Gynae commented that baby is attention seeking, lol, cos she could not detect anything seriously wrong with me....

Nonetheless, to play safe, I am put on bed rest for one week... That's the sian part...=.='''

Mommy Me sort of regretted not documenting my pregnancy journey of Lucas and will try my best to do so for the 2nd one... ^^
