A Little Breakfast

Mommy Me noticed that some kids will bring breakfast to the centre even though breakfast will be served around 8 - 9am...

Though Lucas will usually take a yogurt before going to the centre, Mommy Me sometimes will let him bring along some buns so that he can be more full... And he has been enjoying this little privi for a couple of weeks...

As Mommy Me been studying those bento kits and got a couple of cookie cutters at home, so had my first attempt this morning to cut out a Mickey Mouse bread for him...

Ta-da... My veli first Mickey Mouse Bread with Butter and Sugar... (Ya, he likes his bread this way...) Of cos, the flip side is the leftover bread which Mommy Me has to eat.. else such a wastage..

Dirty Job

Parenting is a dirty job... Ya, I got this thought early this morning when I wiped Lucas' puke... =.='''

Other than cleaning their poo poo and their after meal mess, this is the first time that I have to clean a merlion puke...

He was coughing and out of a sudden, I heard Daddy say Mommy quick help while I was in slumberland..

Jumped out of bed to clean up the mess... Yucks.. Realli horrible..After vomiting, he only went back to bed at 4 am... I am so sleepy now.. zzz...

Yummy Dinner

Ye-ye and Nai-nai came for dinner last night... So Mommy Me cooked claypot rice, fried kailan, fried onion egg with shrimp and peanuts chicken feet soup..
Way before Ye ye and Nai Nai reached, Lucas saw me setting the table around 6.30pm and he immediately ran to me: Mommy, rice!!! =.=''''

In case you wondering, he just had his porridge around 5pm++.... Piang, told him have to wait for the guests before we can start.. Then he ran to the kitchen and asked for his personal spoon...
After that, he ran back to the dining area and asked for rice again...

This went on for 10 mins until I raised my voice that he had to wait.. Then he went back to the study to play with his toys... Ha... So must act fierce den can ah...

Anyway, the moment Ye ye and Nai nai came, he wanted to shift his high chair to the dining table and wanted rice...

He ate another 1/3 bowl of rice and plenty of soup... ^^

What's gratifying is that the moment he drank the soup, he immediately told everyone that it's good... so sweet right...

p/s: Of cos, it's good. I spent 6 hours boiling it slowly lei... ^^

Yummy Treats

Mommy Me stumble upon a seller on SMH offering durian swiss roll and banana swiss roll..

Since Daddy Sky is not a fan of durian, we had to settle for banana...At the same time, I spotted this agar agar Ang Gu Kueh... ^^

So I pestered Cynthia to spam her mailing list of colleagues who might be keen to get them so that we can make them deliver...

Ta-da, we polished a box of the kueh in office and one swiss roll (durain)... yummy!!!

I just ate the banana swiss roll and it's yummy too... But a little on the expensive side.. other den that, the fruits are fresh and the sponge cake is soft... ^^

Long vs Short Pants

Lucas' childcare teacher said that his pants are way too long and may cause him to trip... She suggested that I get the pants altered or shortened...

So I told myself, its ok, just do some simple hems to make it shorter.. When he grows taller, I can just remove the hems...

Yes, the perfect formula to fall sick... After taking all of the above last Sun, Lucas is sick again...

Last Sunday, we were supposed to have dinner with Yeye and Nainai.. But as Mommy Me was not feeling well, so Daddy Sky took Lucas to the dinner...

Without Mommy around, Lucas ate whatever he wanted... Ta-da, he is now sick... =.='''

Can hear how 'blocked' his nose and chest are whenever he is sleeping... ;(

More Thomas & Friends....

Mommy Me and Daddy Sky saw an ad in the paper that there is a toy fair @ Funan IT Mall Atrium and they indicated that there was Thomas..

So we went for dinner @ Funan Paradise Inn and thereafter we went to the Toy Fair.. Actually nothing much... ;-(

Quite disappointing... but nonetheless, after scrutinising the limited Thomas toys, we settled for this set...
As we reached home pretty late, we only fixed up the set after our brunch...



Lucas was very excited and I doubt he will get his afternoon nap anytime soon liao... =.='''

Brunch @ Graze, Rochester

Finally, we got to meet up... Hahaha, cos Auntie Cynthia had been flying regularly so we had a bit of problem arranging the meetup... ^^

She managed to convince her boss that she needed not fly this weekend so we could meet up for breakfast @ Graze, Rochester..

A New Toy

Ta-da... I got it... Hahah, since Lucas is now learning on the importance of saving... Mommy Me got him this... Much cheaper since I bought it online... Check out how it works...

My New 'Top'

Mommy Me bought this Art Smock when we were planning to let Lucas feed himself.. But so far we did not really use it... Hahaha, but since he is into doodling and to avoid him 'colouring' him, I don him in this and he likes wearing it... ^^

In Prep for Teacher's Day

Now I know being a mommy is not easy.. Lolx... Even when it comes to Teacher's Day, I have to help prepare gifts for the teachers in his Childcare and his Shichida class...

Got ready 6 gifts... Other den 3 confirmed recipients, I have yet to decide who else to give to cos there are a couple of teachers who helped to console him in the morning whenever we left him at the childcare...

Fish Straw

Aunt Cyn has just returned from her Taiwan and HK Trip.. And she got Lucas a fish straw and boi, he was so happy and kept holding it the whole night... ^^

NDP 2010

Singapore has turned 45 this year... For this year's National Day, we have decided to stay at home and have steamboat...
Had wanted to cook claypot rice but Gong-gong wanted to eat steamboat... So there goes Daddy Sky's fav...
Lucas ate quite a fair bit today compared to the past 3 days as he was running a yo-yo fever...
Wanted to run but Gong-gong had gotten him tight... Hahaha, he is disturbing all of us watching the NDP...

A simple gathering

Uncle Ed's gf flew in from Thailand so we had to meet her... ^^ Been wanting to meet her for the longest time... ;-p

So we arranged a mini gathering @ Aunt Alicia's place... Straight after breakfast, we went home to get the mille crepe and shepherd pie for the gathering...

But Lucas fell asleep when we reached the place.. So Mommy Me went up first while Lucas and Daddy Sky stayed in the car...
Here is Caden... Who did not want to sleep and got even more energised when I arrived.. Later my gf's helper brought him upstairs to sleep...

When Lucas woke up and came up... He got so excited over my gf's doggies named Cookie...

Lucas was scared but at the same time, he wanted to play with the dog... And poor Mommy Me had to stay on the sofa while they let the dog loose...

Then it was time to eat... Yummy... Uncle Ed's gf cooked some Thai food for us...
Innocent looking chix soup which was sour and hot... smoky... ^^
Nice Thai salad.. Tasted great..Of cos, Aunt Alicia cooked the vinegar pork trotters and fried some sambal kang kong...And not forgetting the never failed Shepherd pie...

And special thanks to my colleague who hand-carried this back from Penang.. It's a 20-layered crepe cake with french vanilla cream.. Tasted special too...So while we were eating, Lucas was playing on his own.. running around in the house and of cos, stopping by to stroke Cookie...
Of cos, he oso tried to challenge the authorities by wanting to scale the stairs.. No way, Mommy Me wont allow him to do so lor...
Great food, great company.. What's there more to ask for in life?? ^^

Breakfast @ Toast Works

Since today is National Day and we dun have to work, we slept in a little later.
Then we went to Great World City to get breakfast.. Lucas, as usual, must have his half boiled eggs...
And we had all those @ Toast Works @ the foodcourt..
After that, we just did some quick shopping before we went home to get the stuff for our party... ^^

Lucas' Train Collection

This is Lucas' current train collection.. Why I say current?? Cos Mommy Me knows that it will grow with him... Especially now he has 3 sponsors aka Daddy Sky, Po-po and Gong-Gong who will help to add to his collection...

Lunch @ Soup Restaurant

Lucas had been running a fever since Friday night... The temperature kept yo-yoing... This is so nerve-breaking... This morning, he woke up without a fever and we felt relieved...

But as he was still cranky and Mommy Me needed a trim, so I left him at home with Daddy Sky and Gong-gong... Mommy Me and Po-po went for a quick trim and came back to fetch them for lunch...His fever is back again... =.='''

Since he was coped up at home, Daddy Sky said to bring him out for some fresh air.... (Hmm, the air at home veli stale meh...)

Anyway, we went Vivo to grab a quick bite @ Soup Restaurant..

We had a 'simple' lunch at Soup Restaurant... Just olive rice and the samsui chicken...
Nah, had vegs, ribs and tofu as well... Cos the set for 3 costs only $60++ but Daddy Sky must have his olive rice lor...

After lunch, we went ToyRus and Lucas got himself more Thomas and Friends... Will post separately... Then he laid on Daddy Sky's shoulder while we walked to the car...

Woots, one complete sentence

Lucas came home with a new toy last night but Daddy Sky only noticed it this morning. Check out their conversation below...

Daddy Sky: Wah, how come you have a new Thomas?
Lucas: Ah Gong buy Thomas... (Woots, one complete sentence came out from his mouth)
Daddy Sky: Did you ask Ah Gong to buy for you?
Lucas: ..........
Daddy Sky: You cannot always ask Ah Gong to buy toys for you, ok?
Lucas: OK

Hahah, Mommy Me was impressed with the one sentence as he has been giving me answers in bits and pieces...

Cake cake...

We decided to pop by Great World City this evening to get some grocery since we had plans this long weekend to catch up with frens... Lucas saw a Thomas cake at Polar right outside the Cold Storage and he was already in anticipation of wanting it.

Told him that we will get him the cake after we are done with the grocery shopping.. The moment we paid for the cake, he immediately wanted to eat it. Told him that we have no spoon and cannot feed him, he started his crying spate... =.='''

Cried so hard that he threw up his phlegm on my hand.. eeks... Thereafter, he insisted on holding his cake... =.='''
But the cake hor quite 'hardy' sia.. Managed to survive all the jostling and still looked one piece when we got home...
And yes, the moment we got home, he sat on his high chair waiting to eat... Guess what, he polished off half the slice on his own!!!
