Sick Again

Sigh, Lucas started running a fever on Monday night...
Coupled with running nose and cough, he is a handful to manage..
Plus, he kept salivating... We suspected he was teething...
So he continued to be cranky for Tuesday's night as well.
In fact, he coughed in his sleep and merlion-ed...
That sent Mommy Me and Daddy Sky into a cleaning operation.... =.='''
Yes, in the middle of the night...

The bomb dropped when Po-po just called Mommy Me to say that Lucas has ulcers in his mouth... OMG, is it HFMD??!!!


Update as at 11.30am: Ok, Lucas has seen the doc.. No HFMD.. Heng ah... Can realli give me heart attack!!!

Jab... Finally

The last round we went to Doc Chan, we could not do the Hep A jab as Lucas was running a fever...So this morning, we went back to Doc Chan but of cos took breakfast first @ Cova..
Check out the pastries chosen by Lucas for his breakfast.. yummy.. He managed to polish off the entire mango cake, half the cheese cake and the entire strawberry minus the tart.. Of cos, not to mention, he ate one third of my sausage and one fifth of my omelette.
A pot of tea which never fails to perk me up (though my back was aching... )


Lucas was happily playing in the clinic... He even wanted to go into the doc's room before he was called.. Of cos, later the jab made him scream... Hmm, like wat Daddy Sky said, he screamed even more when we asked him to return the toys.. =.='''

Mommy, where are you??

Daddy Sky told Mommy Me this last evening when we met for dinner..

As Mommy Me was giving tok on Sunday, Mommy Me had to leave the house early around 8am... I got up around 530 am cos Lucas was awake!!! Aiyo, thank god, Daddy said he will take over and ask me to go back to bed...

I took another 30 mins snooze and was up and about preparing Lucas' lunch and dinner. Lucas was clingy in the morning and ok when I needed to leave the house...

Later in the day, he went Mommy mommy... He thought I was hiding under the blanket and he climbed onto the bed to look for me... Heart pain lei hearing this...

Sorry, boi.. Mommy had to work...

p/s: Have to work this coming Sunday too... Oops..

What Can Lucas Do After Attending Skol??

I guess there are indeed benefits from attending a childcare centre.. Lucas can now:

• feed himself - - Though still quite messy
• throw away his diaper - - including new ones... -.-'''
• put his dirty clothes in the laundry...
  
• open the doors - - now I have to resort to locking the doors..

Overall, not so perfect but relatively good achievement.. ^^

Special Treats

Lucas is such a lucky boi.. Look, he has some special treats from Auntie Catherine.. He was so excited when I gave them to him... N he kept saying "bananas".
Sorry, Boi. Your cough just recovered lei.. So Mommy cannot open them for you to savor.. Another day bah...

Happy Father's Day (Part 2)

It is Father's Day today.. So we had dinner @ 梅林.
Though Mommy Me had a not-so-good experience during the Chinese New Year Lunch, we decided to give the place another chance since for CNY, usually the food at most places oso become so-so...
Firstly, I made the reservation through their website.. and within mins, they called to confirm the reservation.. Ok, scored a bit of points for that..
So we reached the restaurant, the table was already set including the baby chair and the cutlery for Lucas.
We order the following items:

脆皮鸡

猪脚醋

南乳KangKong

南乳芋头扣肉

After dinner, we felt a dessert will be nice so Yi-yi suggested going to Illuma - Empire State.
Not bad place and while waiting for the desserts to be served, Lucas was having fun...
The brownie with ice-cream... Veli thick but a little tad sweet...

The veli last one - the fried banana sundae...
Daddy & Gong-gong : Thanks for looking after us so well and being there for us all the time... ^^

Verdict of First Movie

This morning, we went to Vivo for the Toy Story 3 movie.. It is Lucas' veli first movie.. In fact, both Daddy Sky and Mommy Me were pretty worried that he might scream in there and disturbed other movie patrons.
We let him hold on to the tickets first to explain that we need these to enter the cinema...
He looks enlightened after we explain.. Heehee...
We went in near the start time as we were concerned he might get restless...
To our surprise, he was veli attentive in the cinema and watched the movie quietly...
So quietly that he fell asleep... zzzz after 30 mins... hahaha...
Den he woke up again and watched the last 15 mins of the show...
In total, he watched 45 mins of the entire show.. Good enuff for us liao... ^^
After the movie, we went to Aoba to eat the Hokkaido Ramen.. Slurp... ^^
He was waiting for Daddy Sky to bring the porridge from the car so he pretended to be eating from the empty bowl... ^^
We are so proud of you, Lucas!!!

Toy Story 3

We plan to bring Lucas to his very FIRST movie tomorrow... Wonder if Lucas will be able to enjoy the movie... Will update again... ^^

奶奶的生日晚餐

奶奶's birthday is coming and so is Father's Day but as 奶奶 and 爷爷 plan to go Shanghai this week for the expo so we have to celebrate everything in advance..

We had dinner @ Cafe Brio's and it was seafood theme... we actually ate and sat there for 2.5 hours.. Must congrats Lucas for being able to tahan so long...

Though he got a little cranky from time to time.. But he seemed to get along pretty well with his Yu Heng 哥哥。 This little 哥哥 was very sweet and even shared his ice-cream with Lucas.. ^^

Ya, Lucas is getting better @ haircuts..

Remember he used to cry and sob while having haircuts...

Now Mommy Me brings him to the hair dresser in Toys R' Us and he is able to sit on the chair on his own and get his hair cut...

Jab Jab??

No jab done in the end.. But PD Dr Chan gave Lucas a thorough check instead..

Throat infection with running nose.. Endedup cough mixture on standby and no real high fever when he was at the clinic.. But Dr Chan prefers to play it safe so no Hep A jab for Lucas yesterday... =.='''

Damage to Mommy's wallet: $155!!! (Ouch!!!)

But before we went up to the clinic, we had breakfast @ Cova...A quite posh restaurant but we were pretty surprised at the price of the American Breakfast Set including the drinks... Each set costs us $15! Yes, what you see in the pictures below is what you get...
Lucas had 2 bottles of milk before we left the house but when the food was served, he was all ready to eat!!!
The nurses @ the clinic commented that Lucas was too active to be sick..

Ya, I agree with them cos he was running around the clinic even though he was having a mild fever with throat infection and a running nose... =.='''

Fever is here to visit Lucas again....

I wonder if it is the weather or the flu bug season, Lucas is down with a fever of 38 degrees... He is supposed to have his Hep A jab this morning. Guess high chance cannot proceed but will still bring him to his PD later to check what went wrong.... Sigh...

P/s: We put the fever patch on his forehead and told him not to remove it with his hands at all.. Guess what I caught him doing!!! Shaking his head so that the patch will drop off... Faint... Sick still can be innovative!!!

Dessert @ Hagen Daaz

Since we did not manage to shop last Sunday, Daddy Sky suggested to go Vivo to walk walk this evening...Mommy Me suggested having some ice cream @ Hagen Daaz.. Lucas checking out the menu on his own..
But too bad, Mommy Me has decided to have banana split... ^^

Rice??

Lucas is giving Mommy Me a BIG headache... He has refused his porridge last dinner and this afternoon's lunch.. All he tells me is RICE!!!

Faintz.. Last night I scampered to cook rice for him.. Today Daddy Sky ran to get rice with soup... Does this mean he will want rice from now on and does not want his porridge anymore??!!

Now, is that Good or Bad news for me??

My NEW Shoe shoe

Someone has a new pair of shoe.. Well, that's how he calls them...

Not a Bad Start

Though Lucas will cry when Mommy Me drops him off at the childcare, teachers have informed that he will stop after a while. Thereafter, he will participate in all the activities.. He will only burst out in tears again when Gong-gong and Po-po pick him up in the afternoon.

Gong- gong and Po-po observe that whenever they picked him up for the past 2 afternoons, he will sit down carrying his bag and waited for the rest of his classmate..

We also observed that he could start to feed himself or rather he wants to feed himself... Guess, it is not so bad afterall... ^^

What a BIG Insect!!!

Mommy Me was alone at home with Lucas when I spotted something on his toy car.. It is a BIG praying mantis.. At least 10cm.. Eeks.. My hair stood.. Even carried the whole car to show Lucas who also cringed!!! =.='''

Err, Boy.. Aren't you supposed to protect Mommy instead???

Afternote: Jus as Mommy Me thought that the praying mantis was gone, I spotted it again on Sunday morning.. Eeks..It was looking at the fish tank... When I tried to take its photo, it turned to look at me... WAH!!!!

Day 2 @ Eager Beavers

Today is Day 2 @ Eager Beavers.. Lucas woke up too early around 5am and refused to go back to sleep after his milk... Mommy Me oredi dun feel good about it... True enough, he fell asleep on the drive to the centre and kicked up a fuss when he was asked to wake up for his check...
He then settled down a little and started playing with the toys in the centre.. Seemed pretty ok.. The teacher brought him out to have his breakfast...
Still not too bad... Trouble came when Mommy Me told him that I have to leave.. He started to cry and cry and refused to let me go.. Mommy Me heart oso not hard enough so hung around... When it came to water play, I told him that I needed to go to work and he cried so badly by the mini pool... Haiz.. Mommy Me got to walk back again...

Then the teacher told me that I have to leave and let them take over, else he will continue to whine and cry.. Bo bian, I had to leave before lunch time and will be back to fetch him later. ;-(

First Day @ Eager Beavers

Today is Lucas' first day in childcare.. Planning to put him there so that he can learn to be more independent... Was pretty worried.. But guess, he was quite ok...When he reached the centre, he was so daring, went round exploring the place on his own...

He sat on the playmat and started reading the picutures/letters to himself.
He even ransacked all the toys as though it is his house... faintx...

He cooperated when the teachers wanted him to drink water before going to the playground to play...

Mommy Me left when he was at the playground.. He waved bye bye and continued his fun...
I took these while peeping in from the inside window...

I then left the centre and went home. When I got back to the centre, he was having his lunch and he was feeding himself... ^^ But could tell that he was tired and he fell asleep on the drive back to Gong-gong's house...
